Lose the chords

While surfing the web, I found some interesting links and articles. Energizer has a charging dock to charge Wiimotes but there are no chords. The wiimote is charged by induction.

After reading it, I remember a product i saw anounced in Target online store. Powermat. Another charger via induction.
here are the links:

Mejico hits the news

Again.
Here in Mexico we have the luck of always finding our way into the news; always in a bad context.
Do you remember that six months ago Mexico and "The Swine Flu" were the breaking news. And suddenly everyone talked about how we will and are infecting the world.
And once again We are in the news. About a week ago the Prince of Netherlands came to Mexico to talk about investments in clean energy and the petroleum business. Everything was alright until the end when the Prince said a Mexican proverb to end "Camaron que se duerme se lo lleva la chingada". He was very proud of himself because he said it in a perfect spanish, but everyone stare at their surroundings impress with the sentence. After the incident we knew that one of his workers told him the proverb a little modified because he did not know about coloquial Mexican spanish. Since then we have been in the news but not for the energy deals but for the mexican proverb.
Funny, but true.

Jews in American history

While reading some blogs, I found this image. I found it interesting because we know is a fact that Jews are always present in American history politics and economy. Is this signature a mixed signal to tell us they are in control?

I don't think so but it got me thinking. How many Jews have passed through the senate? Thousands. Many have been in control of the Central Bank in USA. Let's face it, they kind of control us(Americans).

This influences has been seen in the relationship between USA and Israel. Nowadays USA's president (Barack Obama) had shown some suppor for palestinian's authority and people. But in the last month we have seen the withdrawal of that support. The dialogues have back-fired and now Abbas has resigned. All this developments in the diplomacy between Israel-(USA) and Palestinian leaders. Have Jews influenced American diplomacy that much? Why are now americans not supporting palestinians?

Are they all linked?

I will use this blog to share an interesting link t you. Is a news report about a girl in USA that with her grandfather went trough the genalogy of Obama. Thanks to that they discovered thet obama was related to John "Lackland" Plantagenet ; who was King of England and signer of the Magna Carta. Also both the girl and their grnadfateher realized that all of the US presidents were related except one of them.

Even though this may or may not be accurate, it is interesting how this news start rising. Do they want to link Barack Obama to English royalty so that the dream of having an african american in the presidency dies? Or is it just a coincidence?

Here is the link, read it, analyse it and think about it.

London 2012 1000 days away

A few weeks ago we could see people in Brazil celebrating the decision of The Olympic Games' Comitee. And today we can see how London is celebrating that they are just missing 1000 days for the Olympics.
Is there a point of making this contribution to the blog?
Of Course there is.... The olympics are a BIG event that moves the world. The countries that go to the olympics are ancious of seeing their teams win. I'm happy that The olympic Games are really promoting peace and happiness. Because that is one of the main goals of the games, isn't it?

Let's hope that in London we do not have the type of inconveniences we had in Beijing 2008.

Another important thing of this events is that they promote development. How could we forget the "nido de pajaro" y "the Water Cube"? Not only that but the fireworks animation that beijing broadcasted.

Also right now South Africa has some stadiums in construction for South Africa 2010(FIFA). Tourism is benefited and the culture of the countries would be shown in the TV of most of the world.

In my opinion let's hope that Mexico can get either The World Cup or The Olympic Games soon, but let's pray that this time the government does not invent something like tenencia 2.0

Solo en México

Yesterday i was walking by the street and i happened to walk into this attrocity.
How is Mexico supposed to advance if they are not able to build a good ramp?
Mexico; the country with a FTA in North America and a Treaty with the European Union should be a country rising to become a world leader, but how is it supposed to rise if they can not even build an accessibility ramp. Mexico should concentrate in its infrastructure because it lacks a lot of important things.

I leave it for your consideration.

P.S. The ramp is like 2 1/2 inches from the ground.

Health system reformation NEEDED!

I hate having my blogposts one next to the last one but I can wait for this one.
Today I arrived home and they sent me directly to my grandpa's house. Why? My sister has the flu, even tough it is not for sure swine flu they want to prevent. But what made me think was that they told me that they went to the hospital but they told her:
"No te podemos hacer la prueba hasta de dentro 48 horas para estar seguros que presntes sintomas"
Why wait, my sister could be dying and she is not being tkaen care of? My mom had to take her to Secretaría Sanitaria.

This gets me thinking. Mexico really needs a health system reformation, but if people do not complain we will never go any further so me and my grandfathers persuaded her of making a formal complaint. Maybe one person is not the difference but for sure, 10 million will be.

So if you know of someone that his rights are being violated persuade them to make a complaint, is the only peacful way to getting a change.

We need this taxes

After reading my daily blog-reading i found one very interesting blog post. It was about a rich guy in Germany that wants to sign a petition so that the goverment starts charging taxes to reach people(over 500,000 euros) The blog post is very interesting so I will just a general idea. The guys that have signed already the petition are wealthy men that are willing to pay more for the economic stabilization of their country because they are tired of seeing how a goverment spend millions in saving the banks but does nothing for society.

The Deal is:
-5% of their total money will be payed in 2009 and 2010
-After 2010 peopple with over 500, 000 euros will pay 1% of their money

The problem:
-The "liberal" administration of Angela Merkel will never allowed this to happen.

This is just a quick glance, I will upload the link to the blog.

I really think that this is what wealthy people could do.

But as said in the blog post here in Mexico nor Slim nor Salinas would pay even a cent. I really would like that they found this blog contribution so that thye could realize how sellfish MISER they are.

What if....?

We know that Israel has have nad still has many problems witht he countries on the middle east, but specially witht ther palestinian regions. Maybe the soilution is not simple but still we could try. About this i will put 2 videos.

The first one:

I know that at first it lloks very cool but as the end gets near you see it is not true. How good could it be, huh?

The second video:
This was a response to the Cellcom advertisment. Watch for yourself and think about it.

Is this really how people act after seeing a wonderful advertisement. I mean if I had been them I would have wanted to play against or along the other side, but the other side acted in violence against the poor guys that just wanted to have fun. Whom is to blame? I don't think the makers of the ad, neither the media. Or maybe the media. OK, maybe not, but why would they react that way? is their religious proud so important? If so, what are we to expect from religions that can not co-exist with each other? More tolerance is what we need, and specially leaders tolerance. This post is important because even tough we are not in war, let's accept that we create conflict with our society just for nothing. Let's keep this as a reminder that is no as difficult to create peace if both sides try hard enough.

Do we need tehcnological development or technological implementation?

How is Mexico supposed to improve if we still have technological deficits?
If you look at the image below you will see that in Mexico we are being charged 20USD$ per megabit per second While in Japan they are charged 0.27USD$ per megabit per second. So if we make a comparison in maximum internet speeds, we could say that in Mexico you could have a maximum speed at 40USD while in japan you could have maximum speed with 16.47USD. But in Mexico $40 is the price for 2mb/s while in Japan $16.47 is for 61 mb/s.

This technological atrocity can be translated into, Mexico is not advancing and Carlos Slim(The rich guy that makes Mexico poorer). Maybe technology is advancing with big leaps but still there are countries like ours that can not compete internationally in terms of technology.}

What is the solution? You tell me...

The hippies were right

Today was the perfvect day to post. Why? the idea came to me after watcing a friend´s shirt:

Why were the hippies right?
-They Promoted the use of green energy(ecology)
-They wanted peace
Maybe they did not use the appropiate means but still this are some cool ideas we should keep in mind.

All the countries are trying to establish norms to regulate carbon dioxide emissions, but they are forgeting green energy.
For example here in Sonora(especially Altar Desert) we have a lot of sun. Almost all the days are sunny. And why we do not use solar energy?
Stupidty? Maybe. Still we need to focus on how the goverment ius not even promoting green energy. I'm sure that CFE will disagree with the production of our own green energy. Is there a solution to this? Of course there is. My uncle has studied the posibilities of a solar energy program here in Sonora and he has find out that, with the right administration we could sell energy to CFE. This is a win-win situation. Why? Because if we "sell" lend energy to CFE we the people will pay less and CFE will spend less in energy production and without the investmen of solar plants.
Not only Sonnora has the conditions to make this solar plants. We can all unite and make several solar plants. We could all invest. I think politicians should find out a way of making this possible.

Is this perfect? Maybe not, but still we should give it a try. I found an interesting website about solarenergy while surfing the web. Here is the link:
Please have a look at it and tell me what do you think.

PS Go green!

Pop culture

INFLUENCE!

What is pop culture? Pop culture is define as: " what is popular at the moment in certain part of the world." The simpsons are nowadays an american pop culture that has spread around all the globe. Let's face it is an indirect way of keeping USA in the eyes of everyone. Several times people have wonder why the simpsons keep airing if they offend sometimes american culture and goverment. The answer is "america needs to be in the minds of everyone" So what other pop culture can we find around the globe?
What about UK?...
Music, they have many things but something that is in everyones library is Brit-Rock.[The ramones, The beatles, Sex Pistols, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, Pink Floyd*, David Bowie, QUEEN and lots more] This has inspired not only musicians but comedians, and we can say society in general.
*About Pink Floyd. Back in the day when Adal Ramones had his "talk show" he had a very famous quote. It was something like this: "hijos de su pink floyd"
Mexico has some things to brag about. Tacos, one of the most common foods on the world(maybe not prepared at its best but delicious indeed. and how to forget "El Chavo del 8"

Japan gots Manga and Videogames, what more could we ask for?

Some of them may not be pop culture at all but you can get the point. We are influenced by everything around us. Some of it may be marketing and some political strategies, or maybe just coincidence. But for sure we know we will enjoy this parts of culture. So I think that at the end it is not a bad aspect but something to take care of carefully.

A world recognition war?

One of the themes that certainmly is an indirect war are "The Olympic Games". Countries fight try to get The Olympic Games in their country. We see how Obama and his wife aree seriously trying to get them in Chicago.
This is an indirect war. What do they get with this? Recognition? Tourism? Companies get good merchandising?
All this is to be considered if you want to support a campaign for a country that could be the host of the Olympic Games. Why is Obama doing this if he will be off office(probably) by 2016

Babel

What is "The Tower of Babel" in the book of Genesis in the bible there is the story about the Tower of Babel. It is not necessary to tell you the entire story. Lets focus at the end of the story. God as a punishment confused their languages and scattered all man all across the glove (a.k.a Earth). This means that even though we don't speak each other’s language we are linked (kind of).

There's a very good movie related to this, it is called Babel. Some of you may have already watched it. For those that haven't watched it I will not ruin it for you. Try not to ruin it for you.

In class we saw how there is interconnectedness in the world. Sometimes we have trouble analyzing these situations because we tend to say if they are interconnected they make decisions for the rest and things like this. But if we see Babel as a resource in global interconnectedness we can comprehend a little bit more. How even though cultures are different and countries are thousands of miles away, one can alter the other one without a direct contact.

If you want to comprehend my approach to the movie watch it and feel free to ask. Also I highly recommend it. It is a cool very good movie.

Japan leading the way

Ok, after my last post about Japan iset myself a "goal". I wanted to research for some real technological advances that Japan is giving to our world. Now is not enough to say that you made a robot that can run or dance. I mean we do not need new athletes nor dancers, so what we really need?
I found an interesting link in CNN. It has almost no information but has a very COOL slideshow I'm sure you will enjoy. For example, nurses at hospitals take care of patients and their needs, but sometimes it takes from 2-4 nurses to change a patient from beds. What if someone made a robot that could be able to perform this task accurately? The inventor will become millionaire(and that's not it, he will be millionaire who gave something to society). You guys interested in making one don't even bother we japanese already got it.
Let's face it, Japan is leading the way in technological advances. But that is not a reason to step out of the game, if we put ourselves together I'm sure we can make something better.

Japan, Focus and beat

While enjoying my weekend playing Wii, I realized that all my childhood i played an "American"game(Mario Bros.). But, is it an all-American videogame? Really the inventor is Shigeru Yamamoto, a Japanese video game designer. Why american, we often forget that really it is Japanese. Also I started thinking and I had a sort of epiphany; Nintendo is also Japanese. So that got me thinking, what is the limit for Japanese entrepreneurs? We see them in the news and in the movies as those businessman of high-class and intelligence? Is there a limit(for them)?

They have no limits because they know what they want and how to get it. Knowledge economy for them is very important. They know how to develop it and how to implement it.

Sony has gone beyond borders in technology management. Its BluRay disc beat HD-DVD. It got us new sound systems and new technologies. Without Sony we will not have an iPod right now, why not iPod’s ancestor is the walkman; and maybe we had forgotten it but walkman is a product produced by Japanese brand Sony.

Some other examples are Yamaha, Capcom, Fujifilm, Honda (link to a video of Honda's robots http://tinyurl.com/y9w3a45), and many others a complete list of brands can be find here: http://tinyurl.com/yc9u59u

BTW do not forget that tasty meal we get almost each weekend, Sushi. Maybe we eat the American modification but it would not exist if Japanese hadn't invent the traditional sushi.

Economic integration = Utopia....?

After today's class I have been thinking about economic integration. Is it really better that way or is it just a shortcut for problems. I think it will be better if we could discuss this a little more. I know that in class we do not have enoguh time but we can use this cyber-space(blog) to create kind of a forum inside a post.

What i have to say about economic integration is that maybe it has worked for some countries, but we can not be sure if it will make a better good for us(considering USA, Mexico & Canada). I think that as higher as we go in the economic integration pyramid we are trying to reach a Utopia.(Utopia is an ideal perfect state; especially in its social and political and moral aspects) This definition was found in the Princeton dictionary; are there any risks in reaching an Utopia. I personally think that an Utopia will at certain point make us lose our culture, but if handled correctly we could make an utopia that will create a perfect cultural melting pot.

I would like to hear different points of view so please COMMENT!

I just read about how USA and North Korea are willing to talk bilaterally to reach an agreement in the North Korean Nuclear program. After North Korea talked to Chinese, Japanese, Russian and South Koreans representants North Korea is willing to reach an agreement. Is really N. Korea willing to convert from realist to Liberalist. Check the next link and tell me what you think.

I especially think that maybe this a tactic of North Korea to trick USA and the UN. We have seen in history that this small country is not willing to negotiate so , Why now?
Let's keep on reading the news and wish this has a happy ending.

Twitter, new evolution or obsolete IM ?

I found this video on youtube and after todays calss i took a second glance at it and i started to realize certain things. Even Though ewveryone will think maybe twitter is a waste of time i think it links us to our surroundings and also it shortens the gap between e-mail & e-mail. It makes chat obsolete because it is less tedious to read a little message that you do not have to answer. So give it a try, lets tak a step for tevhonlogical evolution.

BTW I think that technology is evolving very fast but i know it will never overrun men's adaptation.

Hope you enojoyed it.
