Babel
What is "The Tower of Babel" in the book of Genesis in the bible there is the story about the Tower of Babel. It is not necessary to tell you the entire story. Lets focus at the end of the story. God as a punishment confused their languages and scattered all man all across the glove (a.k.a Earth). This means that even though we don't speak each other’s language we are linked (kind of).
There's a very good movie related to this, it is called Babel. Some of you may have already watched it. For those that haven't watched it I will not ruin it for you. Try not to ruin it for you.
In class we saw how there is interconnectedness in the world. Sometimes we have trouble analyzing these situations because we tend to say if they are interconnected they make decisions for the rest and things like this. But if we see Babel as a resource in global interconnectedness we can comprehend a little bit more. How even though cultures are different and countries are thousands of miles away, one can alter the other one without a direct contact.

If you want to comprehend my approach to the movie watch it and feel free to ask. Also I highly recommend it. It is a cool very good movie.

Japan, Focus and beat
They have no limits because they know what they want and how to get it. Knowledge economy for them is very important. They know how to develop it and how to implement it.
Sony has gone beyond borders in technology management. Its BluRay disc beat HD-DVD. It got us new sound systems and new technologies. Without Sony we will not have an iPod right now, why not iPod’s ancestor is the walkman; and maybe we had forgotten it but walkman is a product produced by Japanese brand Sony.
Some other examples are Yamaha, Capcom, Fujifilm, Honda (link to a video of Honda's robots http://tinyurl.com/y9w3a45), and many others a complete list of brands can be find here: http://tinyurl.com/yc9u59u
BTW do not forget that tasty meal we get almost each weekend, Sushi. Maybe we eat the American modification but it would not exist if Japanese hadn't invent the traditional sushi.

Economic integration = Utopia....?
After today's class I have been thinking about economic integration. Is it really better that way or is it just a shortcut for problems. I think it will be better if we could discuss this a little more. I know that in class we do not have enoguh time but we can use this cyber-space(blog) to create kind of a forum inside a post.

I just read about how USA and North Korea are willing to talk bilaterally to reach an agreement in the North Korean Nuclear program. After North Korea talked to Chinese, Japanese, Russian and South Koreans representants North Korea is willing to reach an agreement. Is really N. Korea willing to convert from realist to Liberalist. Check the next link and tell me what you think.
