Angela Dorothe Merkel, born in 17th of July 1954. She is born with the name Angela Dorothea Kasner. Her father was a professor and Lutheran pastor. In 1954, her father got in charge of a church in east and the whole family moved to Templin, (Brandenburg). Angela grew up 80 kilometer north of Berlin, in the Democratic Republic of Germany (DDR). She was educated in Templin and went to University in Leipzig, where she studied physics. After studying and working in the Central chemistry and physics academy of science she received a PhD in physics.
Ten years later (2000) she got in the CDU and since 2005 she is our chancellor, in Germany!
She got her name “Merkel” from his ex husband Ulrich. Later she married to Joachim Sauer. She doesn’t have any children.

Merkel wins elections for second time
Last Sunday, September 27, Angela Merkel proclaimed her victory on the parliamentary elections, which is her second term of four years at the head of a new center-right government. Projections showed that Merkel's conservatives are heading with the Free Democrats, with the pro-business tendencies, because they had a good performance according to polls. His rival Frank-Walter Steinmeier, leader of the Social Democrats, admitted that his party suffered an awful defeat.
For me, it is good to know how women can become presidents. I think that here in Mexico it would be difficult for a women to win an election for president. Maybe most of the people,including women, would not trust another women to be a president. People in Germany, demostrate us that women make can make a good role, and evrybody can get to be a president. If people choose it Merkel again, is because she is a good president.

Merkel's new coalition?
As you all may know, Angela Merkel won the German elections, and is yet again "a Chancellor for all Germans", as pledged by Merkel herself. But what differences are to come with her new government? According to CNN, Merkel is eyeing a new coalition to replace her party's (Christian Democratic Union) previous coalition with the Social Democratic Party. She is expected to form a new coalition with the Free Democratic Party, a more economically liberal party, which would have big implications to Germany. But what would this implicate?
According to CNN's Fred Pleitgen, there will be a lot more pro-business policies than in the past and a smaller government. The FDP openly stated that they need a tax structure reform. All this is "to secure jobs, create new ones and drive growth more decisively" in these difficult economic times, as stated by Merkel. This would be in line with the FDP's political guidelines that sustainthe principles of freedom and individual responsibility under a government "as extensive as necessary, and as limited as possible"

Angela Merkel Wins German Election
Angela Merkel had an astounding victory over Social Democrat Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The SPD has its worse result since WWII, and Steinmeier said it was a "bitter election defeat". Merkel will remain in office for her second term, with the intention to be "the Chancellor of all Germans".
