Iraq and North Korean nuclear weapons

Iraq since Saddam Hussein was on the power they were very good in the nuclear science. They had some advances on chemistry, and they pursued an extensive biological weapons program and a nuclear weapons program. but this country is not very stable because there are civil wars and the war versus the United States so that makes a big problem because if one bomb is in the incorrect time in the incorrect hands the world can be destroyed because they have some bombs, but they will attack the US and we are very near of them.

Korea also is a producer of nuclear bombs. But they have approximately 8 nuclear bombs, and they also produce biological weapons. But they have the same problem as Iraq because the government and the fights with south Korea can be some problems in the future.

why chiprus and not Turkey

Why Cyprus and not Turkey this is a very good question if you know the geography near to Europe you can see that turkey and Cyprus are very near, even though Cyprus is UNDER Turkey and they almost can see Cyprus from the south coast of Turkey.  

- Cyprus is a country that is part of the European Union

- turkey is NOT in the European Union 

so there comes the question WHY?

just one answered can define this question because they are very near and Cyprus doesn't had a lot of population so why does they have the opportunity to be part of the EU and Turkey doesn't. is because Cyprus doesn't have neighbors and Turkey have neighbors, but what neighbors!

thats why the EU doesn't want turkey on it's economic union,  because their neighbors are very unstable and the immigration to that country could be BIG and then there will be conflicts.

so I think that the EU doesn't wants more conflicts.

Israel vs Arabs

as we all had seen in class Israel and Arabs had conflicts.

but we didn't saw how this conflicts started. first of all that territory was of England before 1948 Israel, Palestine, and Jordan doesn't existed, before that there was a empire named Israel Empire but after that England took that land but there were conflicts in that part so they had to go, but they give 80 percent of the land to what's now Jordan, and the other 20% the UN divided into 2 parts but here the problem started.

The west bank is in the middle of what is Israel so many conflicts are in that area because they hate each other because one of them wants land and et the holly land and the other wants to Stay with the holly land and get the Arabs territory. 

the thing that started this was they in Jerusalem the capital of Israel people started making houses in the west bank territory.  so the Arabs got mad and they want to start a revolution with the government of Hamas.

Lisbon treaty... real?

today at 7: 00 am in Lisbon the EU got together and sing the new treaty of the EU that tells that they will change some rules, that they will have a president of the EU, and some better exportations and importations with other countries like Mexico. 

the only country that had some problems about the EU Lisbon Treaty was Czech Republic. because the president of this Nation State hadn't signed the treaty but is approved. 

This treaty enclose the EU to be more and more near a political union.

this treaty will be enter in force in December.

Why does Taiwan is not in the UN?

Taiwan is not in the UN because several reasons, first of all because the name of that country (the official name) that is: Republic of China. 

this name comes since china went democratic in the 1911, but after a civil war china changed from democratic to communist. so the government of that time was on Beijing and that government was Democratic so they move all the people to what's now Taiwan that in that time that land belong to China. and they made that because they think that from Taiwan they can expand democracy but they couldn't.

So China doesn't want that Taiwan get to the UN because with that they became a Nation State but they should put the name of republic of china but they couldn't be 2 chinas on the world.

Chalenge of Mexican economy 957579

Mexico has a big challenge because most of the Economy that this country has is SEM's ( small and medium enterprises; that means that most of the countries economy is SMALL, the economy is based on small stores that don't get out not even from the city, most of them are familiar workers or of 10 workers only, so Mexico is trying to reduce this SEM's and produce more big enterprises so that that enterprises can go out from the country and can distribute products from here to all the world.

this will help because more people will get work and people that has little enterprises will expand and the product can be noticed in the hole world.

and our economy will also grow and people that are poor can get out from poorness working on a big company no mater that they work in the lowest range but they will earn more money.

globalisation has some drivers that connect all the world, for example:

cell phones

satellite

and FREE TRADE AREAS

economic integration

- same trade politics ( NAFTA)

trade between counties and interconnectedness

as you can see both of them talks about CONNECTION, TRADE and COMMUNICATION.

so it's the same ?

i think that is the same because one comes with the hand of the other one.

Globalisation... a treat? 957579

For me globalisation is not a treat but it can be good in some aspects.

Rirst of all you can tell me that is a treat because sovereignty is ALMOST destroyed but some things that one country do like a good movement for example reduce the taxes, and this country tell to another one to made the same movement.

I can say some other examples but is the same, one country "controls another one" but this isn't true. because the country can make a choose to agree or disagree. and even though you can say but the foreign country is making the decisions of this country but is a good decision, it will help people of the country and will make things cheaper and people will buy more things and the country can grow.

But if the things get out of control the one country can invade the other one to get more power.

I think that this countries are a motivation, because we all know that their history isn’t very good or “happy history” but in the recent years they had grown in a rapidly way, i looked for some information and I think what makes India powerful is their connections with  some big countries, and that they are making new jobs and because they have the facility of talking the same language as the American (us) that’s why they are making new works and new companies, and because the population in India is extreme they need more works and more works.  

·         Do you consider China to be a threat to the rest of the world?  Do not just write yes or no, I would like an explanation of your view, JUSTIFIED with some piece of evidence, for example maybe something you have read.  Is China in particular a threat to the unipolar system, and will it challenge the dominant position of the United States?

I think that yes it would be a BIG conflict especially with the USA because (history ALWAYS repeats) and no so far away from this time the USA was in a “war” competing ho was the best country of the world, why? Because they want to have the power! And i think that another cold war can happen because of that. Another reason that makes my statement more solid is that the USA and China doesn’t have the same type of government. One is capitalist and the other is centralist.

·         What are the potential positive and/or negative impacts on the people of China and India of globalisation?  Consider the way in which globalisation affects economies, because of free trade doctrine, and consider technology and culture, as will be mentioned in class.

As we know Chinese people are recognized from their straight and very healthy food, but they will eat at Burger King? I think that this will really affect the people that lives in china and i think that in India also the same problem will occurs even though they have clean and “kind of healthy” food, and they will eat on this type of restaurants because is easier, because life with more globalisation influence is faster an d faster. Another aspect that i think it will shock people in china could be that they are not used to use technology, in the mountains and other parts were technology is not able to get, so in that case it will be hard to knew something new, but they have to.

Power of VETO 957579

As we know in class the 5 countries that has the power of veto are United States, United Kingdom, France, China and Russia, but we didn't saw how they got so precious power. They got this power first of all are some of the best economies of the world, and the history that every country has made them more powerful. 

If one of them doesn't want to agree with one trade or if they don't want to vote for a new rule or something like that, the rule or trade won't be established, because the 5 countries have to be in favor to the trade.   

this five countries have the best communication with other countries, because they have good economy, political and military power.

This "war" was a very unique war, one of the reasons that is most known is that is a war were the people didn't have a physical contact, they don't FIGHT. 

-The US doesn't liked the type of government that the USSR had so they fight with them.

The world War one started in 1914 and ended in 1918 

The main causes of the first WW was the economic competition between the countries, other cause was the  growth of the military of some countries that seems like a alarm to some other countries that doesn't have a big military  army, but this two events just helped that the war started but the event that makes watter blows down the glass was the assassination of FRANZ Ferdinand the archduke of the Austrohungarian  empire, but he was a very important person because he has his allies so that was the reason that they kill him.

The truth is that I don't really remember his life but one day in the history channel or in Discovery channel i saw Franz Ferdinand life, and how some terrorists i think kill him with a brilliant plan. 

This war was fought by to bands first the triple alliance that was composed by Italy, Germany and the AustroHungarian empire, and the triple Entente that were  Russia, France and the United Kingdom. 

This war was a "technological war" because before that time weapons and all the bombs were new, but the specific thing that changes all was the mass production, the excess of production. (industries) 

But the war ended because in 1917 the united States enter to the war but they didn't enter before because they were afraid that Mexico in the south of the US can attack them because Simmer send a telegram to Mexico that said that if they attack the US they will get again the part of land that they had lost. 

And the other reason was that two passengers boats were drowned. 

So when the united states enter to the war both the triple Entente and the triple Alliance were weak, they had been fighting for 3 years and when they entered they destroy the allies and they won the war.

In our world we have different kinds of powers. one of them is the economic power that is when a country has their resources, money and they can use them to produce new products and with that products create more jobs that will increase the amount of money in the country and if a country has a good and stable economy they can do many things.

the second power is political power, that is influenced by many things, but first of all the historical issue, then is the nationals interests, like to be a good nation or to have certain goals for the future of the nation and don't expend all the resources just in one generation, and diplomatic relationships are very important because if a country has a lot of allies they can make trades with every country that they are allied with. Here is inside the international institution that helps countries that are inside this institution to be better countries. 

Other power that a country can have is technology that this power is very important because if a country doesn't advance in a technological way, come things in the future can be harder. And technology also involves military because a country needs a good military for any conflict that the country can has, internal or external. And this involves having newer weapons and newer bombs like nuclear, atomics, and others. 

I think that if a country has a very good economy but the political power doesn't have a lot of power that economy wont last long because they come together, a country needs both of them because if one of them is wrong the other one can fell also.

In class we talk about if wars can be justification or not, but I think that this is a very controversial question because if you say to the United States this question most of the people will tell you that yes, war can be justificated. why this happen?.

because the people that was born in the united States, since they are babies the country teach all the population to think that they are a dominant country, so thats why I think that Americans think in this way, it can be said EXTREMELY PATRIOTIC. 

but war can't be justificated no matter what happens, you can  say that if one country attacked first but no one have the right to attack to another country because they aren't any REAL problem the truth is that they are national benefits, one case that I remember in this moment is when France try to invade Mexico. War is just a national benefit because to other countries war is not a benefit.
