What is the doomsday clock? It is a symbolic clock face that was made in 1947 by the directors of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists in the University of Chicago. In it appears as 15 minutes to midnight. Midnight represents the world destruction. The closer to midnight, the closer we are to obliteration. At the beginning the analogy only represented a threat of global nuclear war, since it was made during the cold war.
