The European Union is based on the rule of law. This means that everything that it does is derived from treaties, which are agreed on voluntarily and democratically by all Member States. Previously signed treaties have been changed and updated to keep up with developments in society.
The history of the European Union can be seen easily by all the treaties that it had.
I found this quite interesting because if we see the time that the European Union has since it started it is not too much, but it already had too many treaties to try to develop and be a more united circle.
