Why did Mexico signed a treaty with the Eu?

Mexico have the first place in Latin America refering to exports. :)

I have 3 reasons
First: Open economies receive many more benefits than closed economies because they are open to the free mrket. So this treaty will result in economic, social and even cultural benefits.

Second: Diversity is essential because is important to export to other coutries since the 80 % of Mexican exports are going to the US. So increasing the commerece with Europe is necessary to fortify and amplify the goals of the Mexican economy.

Third: To promote cultural and social opportunities. This treaty with Europe could increase the cultural interchange and also could provide intercultural skills fo Mexcian students.
